I have photographed just a few Northern Flickers (Colaptes auratus). In North Carolina, I photographed a few Yellow-shafted males, subspecies Colaptes auratus auratus, and in Nevada, I photographed one male Red-shafted, subspecies Colaptes auratus collaris.
