I have photographed several White-tipped Doves (Leptotila verreauxi) in south Texas, subspecies, Leptotila verreauxi angelica. They are a beautiful bird, particularly with the iridescence on the back of their necks.

They multiply like crazy and inhabit my back yard trees generation after generation. They eat half of my pears and peaches that the squirrels don’t get.
